Are you missing out on the ECT Scheme?
The ECA Scheme for Energy Saving
Technologies, is a new development which is encouraging businesses to make an
investment into energy saving machinery which is on the Energy Technology List.
This list is managed by the Carbon Trust on behalf of the government. The ECA
scheme means that on the year of purchase; businesses can write off the cost of
the equipment as a whole against taxable profits. This equipment can help to
boost cash flow whereas before it cost more than less efficient alternatives.

Integration of Additional AOI Capacity
With increased demand for
our surface mount assembly services, Gemini Tec have now integrated
additional AOI capacity and increased capability for 'on board'
inspection.
Adding to our current MIRTEC system, the
new MIRTEC MV3L is the very latest AOI system available for offline PCBA
inspection.
Complete with a host of technologies,
such as 10 Mega-pixel cameras for top down and side angled view inspection, the
MIRTEC was chosen for its speed and accuracy to correctly identify any
potential PCBA errors within the manufacturing process. Read more… http://www.geminitec.co.uk/news-events-press-articles-a-more

The Engineer’s Guide To High-Quality PCB Design
Virtually every electronic product is constructed with one or more printed-circuit boards (PCBs). The PCBs hold the ICs and other components and implement the interconnections between them. PCBs are created in abundance for portable electronics, computers, and entertainment equipment. They are also made for test equipment, manufacturing, and spacecraft.
Eventually, almost every EE must design a PCB, which isn’t something that’s taught in school. Yet engineers, technicians, and even novice PCB designers can create high-quality PCBs for any and every purpose with confidence that the outcome will meet or exceed the objective. Also, these designs can be completed on schedule and within budget while meeting the design requirements. Designers just need to mind the essential documentation, design steps and strategies, and final checks.
